Project Erebus (Open Beta) by BlueWolf-Productions Project Erebus (Open Beta) by BlueWolf-Productions
Here it is, the Call of Duty inspired rainmeter suite I've been promising.

What's Inside?

-Base theme
-Geotracker
-File Database
To see them in action: [link]

I've tried something new and aligned and sized everything relative to my screen resolution, so one of two things will happen on install: either it goes according to plan and it auto-corrects to best suit your screen; or (more likely) it all goes horribly wrong and squishes everything into an unusable mess.

I have what many would call a chaotic coding style, so I'd have to advise against trying to modify the skins at the config level unless you're extremely confident in your abilities.
*You can access the most of the useful variables by clicking the "configure" button at the top right.*

The base interface itself is simple enough, though you will find a few blank slots I've left open for the addition of features.

There are a number of "experimental" features included as well and I'm in desperate need of feedback and critiques on their functionality.

Please bear in mind that this is only a Beta version. I am already working to correct some of the speed & performance issues.

As he explained in another update, he took the general idea of GUI interface from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game series and converted it into a rainmeter desktop. He is just playing around with rainmeter to see how far he can take it.
Not a lot of people succeeded in programming a file explorer for rainmeter in .lua - he did (although it's not working on 64-bit OS systems)
I spent around half a year figuring out the algorithm to show my exact VPN location on a 1920x1080 wallpaper map (Peters method) but his algorith shows the location 100% correct with a cool zoom effect.
I think people should pay more attention and respect to this project, as there is more to it than the eye can see...

I just figured it out, You can fix the lag issue in Sat.Link by editing Sat.Link.ini
Just replace the fourth line with "Update=10"

I finally had time to look at this. As for the clock issue, edit the topbar ini by removing the third line altogether, to read as so:

[MeasureTime]
Measure=Time
Format=%H:%M:%S (This format shows 24 hr clock with your machine time). Then removed GMT+2hours text as so:

[Date]
MeasureName=MeasureDate
Meter=STRING
Y=52
X=4r
fontface=#Font1#
fontsize=9
StringAlign=Left
FontColor=#color1.1#,150
StringStyle=Bold
StringCase=Upper
Text=%1
AntiAlias=1
Group=Clock
Hidden=0

Then, I downloaded the X-64 FileListPlugin.dll, installed to c/prog files/rainmeter/plugins folder and all works beautifully for me! (here is the link to the filelist plugins: [link] , choose x32 or x64.
( I did not like the exploded laptop image in the File Database screen, so repainted image to black solid - documents/
rainmeter/skins/project erebus/@resources/images/assets_exploded_laptop.f).

I really do love this! Great job, Bluewolf!

Hey BlueWolf, I aml running this theme with 1600x900 resolution and it looks great. I managed to fix the time zone issue. Really simple thanks your config. I am running a 64bit of Windows and so the filelistplugin did not work. However I downloaded the filelist.dll plugin for 64bit, and placed it in Program Files/Rainmeter/Plugins and I used the config to redirect the plugin location. Another issue I had was I have multiple partitions so it was set to look for all data on the C: drive when this partition I'm using is the E: drive. So I was able to fix that. The speed is a bit slow but it's not an issue as my laptop is an Asus G73SW and helps out a lot in the speed department. However, Executable Operations and Mission Briefing do not work for me. I don't know if that's for everyone or just me. In the code they don't seem to be linked to anything really. So nothing I can do to try and fix it. I can only fix code, not write it. I can't comprehend it that well. As for the satellite ip tracker, it says I'm in Portland Oregon which is way off as I'm in California. But that's not an issue either.

All in all, it's epic and I look forward to your next release. This is the only one out of many that I've tried that I actually like. So keep up the good work.

It's under the \@Resources\SuiteVariables.inc -- about line 19 (should be shown when immediately opened) it will say TimeZone=+2.00. Just change this to your desired timezone -- would be nice to see this as a variable and calculate based on location or a set place.

It's a very nice skin but as everyone keeps mentioning, it is rather slow. Aesthetically it is beautifully executed and looks very high quality and authentic. The use of full screen elements really adds to the authenticity of the theme as a whole. If you can manage to make it as responsive and quick as the rest of the Rainmeter skins available, you're on to a winner.
If not you could always consider just doing a stripped back version of the theme as well/instead. Removing all the advance elements such as the file explorer, or position on the map feature, and just leaving it with the core necessities of most themes. This way people would be able to enjoy the fantastic quality and visuals without, as some may see it, slow pointless gimmicks.
Once again, fantastic work!
